Internships

Intern with Us

Want to make a difference in Starkville while learning the ropes of nonprofit organization operations? Interning with Starkville Strong will give you experience with programs to support people experiencing food insecurity, homelessness and housing instability, helping them move toward self-sufficiency.  Interns from majors in Social Work, Communications, Public Relations, English, Public Policy, Architecture, Engineering and Education will find meaningful, applied, resume building work.

Interns will have the opportunity to engage in programming, projects, training, mentoring, events, communications, marketing, public relations, case management, and more.  

​

Qualifications: experienced in one or more of the above skills, self-directed, motivated

​

Application Requirements: updated resume, cover letter indicating knowledge of Starkville Strong, references, in-person interview

​

Expectation: 10 hours a week or 150 hours per semester or, if the internship is taken for class credit, the number of hours required by the class; The internships are unpaid, but provide grounded experience to develop a comprehensive portfolio.
