Instead of sending people across town to navigate disconnected systems, The Stronghold brings together food, emergency and transitional housing, case management, employment opportunities, education, healthcare partners, and community support in one centralized location.
Built on the belief that people deserve dignity, not bureaucracy, The Stronghold is designed to remove barriers, strengthen partnerships, and create real pathways from crisis to stability.
We won't duplicate existing services, but we'll bring our partners together, making it easier for people to access the help they need while increasing collaboration and reducing gaps in care.
More than a building, The Stronghold is a life rehabilitation center and a community investment. It's where immediate needs are met, long-term goals are built, and neighbors are empowered with the tools, relationships, and opportunities to move beyond surviving toward lasting independence and thriving.

Our Mini Stronghold serves as the first phase of that vision.
We've brought nearly all of Starkville Strong's programs together into one central location at Dunkington, where our office, client/community pantry, Neighbors Helping Neighbors and overstock food pantry now operate side by side.
This allows us to coordinate services more efficiently, strengthen collaboration, and make it easier for neighbors to access the support they need.
The only program operating off-site is Second Servings, our food rescue initiative, which runs from the commercial kitchen at Worker Bees. This partnership allows us to safely rescue, prepare, and distribute thousands of meals while keeping food out of landfills and on the tables of families who need it most.
The Mini Stronghold is our opportunity to test systems, strengthen partnerships, refine operations, and learn what works before expanding into our full Stronghold campus. Every client we serve, every partnership we build, and every lesson we learn today helps shape a stronger, more effective community hub for tomorrow.
